It’s funny how for the past month everyone almost at the same time has been noticing how the TV industry is changing. There’s this feeling in the air that something big is going to happen. A bigger change than the ones we can directly observe right now. A total paradigm shift on the way we watch and think about the big screen in our homes. Some hope and believe that Apple will do this when they release the much talked about TV set. Maybe. Maybe not. But it’s only natural that it’s going to happen anyway. All media industries have changed dramatically in a short period of time. They had to change in order to survive. The music industry, print, books, magazines, newspapers; all of them have had to change their business models, or are currently looking for a new business model. Broadcast Television has stayed pretty much stable while this has been going on. But I think it’s safe to say that things have been starting to shake up and I think this is good.
